STACEY H. STUCK

     Stacey H. Stuck began her softball career in 1976 at Shikellamy High School and continued her career as the starting pitcher for Susquehanna University in 1982.

         Stacey’s career in ASA softball since 1978 has included being the pitcher for the Women’s Class “B” Fast Pitch State Champs, Class “D” Slow Pitch State Champs and Women’s 35 & Over State Champions.  While playing softball she has also coached women’s slow pitch teams from 1981 thru 1999.

        While umpiring from 1980 thru 1999 Stacey worked the Women’s Class “B” Slow Pitch National Tournament, Women’s Class “C” Slow Pitch Regional Tournament and numerous women’s and men’s state tournaments along with local leagues and invitational tournaments.

        Stacey served as the District 4 Women’s and JO Commissioner from 1990 thru 2000 and served as tournament director for many women’s slow pitch tournaments and JO state tournaments.  She has also conducted clinics and assisted with coaching duties at Line Mountain High School and Susquehanna University.

        Along with being inducted in the ASA of PA Hall of Fame Stacey was also inducted into the Pennsylvania District 4 Coaches Association Hall of Fame in May, 2008.

        Currently Stacey is serving the ASA of PA as the State Junior Olympic Commissioner, a position she has held since 2001.  During this time Stacey has promoted the youth program and with the assistance of the individual district representatives increased registrations throughout the state.  Stacey introduced and administers the individual youth registration program which allows players to be registered with ASA of PA and to be covered individually with accident and liability insurance.  She has also been instrumental in bidding and hosting Girl’s Fast Pitch Eastern National tournaments and the Eastern Territory Gold Qualifier in Pennsylvania. 

        In 2008 Stacey organized, and along with many volunteers, hosted the 2008 Olympic Team “Bound for Beijing Tour” in Washington, PA and Williamsport, PA which allowed youth and adults to have an opportunity to see the USA Olympic Team in action competing against local teams.

        Stacey also serves as the Central Atlantic Regional JO Commissioner and was appointed the Chairperson of the JO Committee on the national level after serving as the Vice Chairperson for seven years.  Prior to this committee she has also served on the Legislation and Tournament Restructuring Committee at the national level and served as a liaison to the Canadian National Team during the 2005 World Cup.
