READING RISING SUN’S

      The Reading  Rising Suns Softball Team is the first team to be inducted into the Pennsylvania Amateur Softball Hall of Fame. 

       The Reading Rising Suns have won Men’s Major Fast Pitch National titles, competed in the U.S. Olympic Festivals winning a pair of gold medals, a silver and a bronze.

       While participating in twenty ASA nationals the team has won 67 games and lost 35 for a winning percentage of .758.

       The team has also competed at the international level participating in the 1976  ISF World Championship in Lower Hutt, New Zealand.

       The Rising Suns have been managed by Rocky Santilli from Leesport, PA. Rocky has been inducted into the ISF Hall of Fame, he is a member of the Berks County Chapter of the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame and the Pennsylvania ASA Hall of Fame.
