BARRY PARMER, SR.

       Barry Parmer, Sr., known as the fast pitch softball Ace, had a career that spanned twenty four (24) years (1963-1986).  Barry pitched in five leagues, Lancaster Recreation (Class A and AA), Lancaster Industrial(Class A and AA), Conestoga Valley (Class A and AA), Atlantic Seaboard League (Class AA) and Pennsylvania Major Softball League (Class AA) during his career.

       Barry’s career consisted of 4,025 strike outs, gave up 450 base on balls and has been credited with 375 wins and 115 losses.

       Barry had fifteen (15) home runs and threw twenty one (21) no hitters with seven (7) of them perfect games during his softball career.  The “Fast pitch softball ACE” was named most valuable player in tournaments on seven (7) occasions.

            In 1976 Barry beat the King & His Court 1-0 and in 1976 was named to the 2nd team National All Star team as an AA pitcher.
